This airport has followed a series of procedures to comply with environmental
regulations. This means carrying out compensatory measures for the location of this infrastructure. These compensatory measures are basically three:

To allocate an area equivalent to that occupied by the airport to suitable lands for the protection of steppe habitats, the flora and fauna associated through lease agreements and / or purchase with owners of the area.

Present studies of the levels of evaluation of the sound emission that include the points that delimit the zone of noise and the affected receptors.

The ornithofauna is monitored, especially of the most vulnerable species. This follow-up is extended with the maintenance of airport operations.
