Today’s meeting of the Bureau Strategic Lleida-Alguaire airport has served to take stock of winter operations at the airport, that ended last Sunday April 8, 2012. Since the beginning of the operations, last December 19th 2011, the airport has received a total of 28.055 passengers ((26,367 correspond to Thomas Cook tour operator and 1688 correspond to Air Nostrum).
Looking ahead for this summer season 2012, which starts on July 20 and runs until September 2, Air Nostrum will begin its flights to Menorca and Ibiza, on Fridays and Sundays. These flights will join the company's regular flights to Palma de Mallorca. In parallel, Travelplan will operate charter flights to the same destinations as Air Nostrum on Fridays in July and August.
Internationally, the Strategic Committee is working with local institutions to develop a plan to promote the province of Lleida, with tour packages through the airport for 6-8 weeks in summer.
