Today, December 19th 2011, the first British skiers arrived at Lleida-Alguaire airport, marking the start of the operations of the tour operator Neilson-Thomas Cook in this airport. A total of 400 passengers from London and Manchester were de first users of these brand new infrastructures, after a remodelling process aimed to allow the operation of flights from outside the Schengen area. Lleida-Alguaire airport expects to receive a total of 16,500 skiers during this winter season.
